Why is the unrestricted Annual Fund important?

It provides funds that can be used where the need is the greatest– Academic support– Library resources– Campus Ministry – Student Programs

– Financial Aid

Financial Aid Update

• 78% of our students receive need-based financial aid

• State budget cuts have resulted in less grant money

• Endowed scholarship funds reduced by $300,000 in 2010 due to economy

• Number of requests for additional financial aid from current students has tripled!

• Assumption is spending an additional $800,000 on financial aid in 2010-2011

• The Annual Fund has increased its dollar goal to support financial aid needs
