Workshops are one-time classes at a specific date and time. Classes are ongoing, for 8 weeks. You can sign up for any combination of classes and workshops.

ARTS & CREATIVITIES for the 4 and 5 year old Tuesday, Thursday or both: 10:00 – 11:30am : $169 or $315 for both days, for 8 weeks

“PAINT • STITCH • CARVE • SKETCH • BUILD • DESIGN • CREATE” in this exploration of arts, crafts and trades like basic woodworking and gardening. There’s not a class like this in Cincinnati! Children will build a village, illustrate life-size books, garden, cook and make their own stuffed animal, all while developing their creative thinking abilities; not to mention the reading, writing and math concepts that are a natural part of these activities. A perfect adventure for the final year of pre-school and kindergarten!

ARTS & CREATIVITIES for K -2nd grade (Minimum 5 years old and in kindergarten) Saturday, 9:30 -10:45am, $169

When you are in a studio like Creativities, you can make just about anything, in just about any way you like! This class is all about exploring art as well as the “art and pure joy of making things.” Whether it’s through fine arts like painting and sculpting, or the time-tested trades of wood, fabric and clay. We’ll be building, drawing, painting, designing and even sewing.

AFTER-SCHOOL ART CLUB (2nd – 4th graders) and (5th – 7th graders) Tues, Weds, Thursday 3:35 – 6:30pm (2nd -4th graders) and 3:00 – 6:15pm (5th – 7th graders) Class fee plus $98 per session for each weekday chosen.

This is an opportunity to take one of our terrific classes, AND hang out with friends, get some homework done, or allow yourself to keep working on that favorite project. We’ll have a talented and caring staff member overseeing each group and creating a kind and fun environment. Attendees will need to bring their own snack.

AMERICAN GIRL DESIGN COURSE (1st – 4th grades) Saturdays, 11:00am – 12:15pm $159

Outfit Ruthie, Kit, Elizabeth or any 18” doll in great clothes, furniture and home items, handmade by you! You’ll be learning the basics of fashion design and interior design in pint-size proportions. For about the cost of one piece of furniture from the venerable American Girl store, you can build a whole wardrobe!

BEADING ARTS (2nd -4thgrades) and (5th – 8th grades) Thursdays 5:15 – 6:30 (2nd – 4th) $149 3:45 – 5:00 (5th – 8th) $149 Saturdays (4th grade and up) 10:30 – 11:45am $149

Belly up to our Bead Bar and you will never buy store-made jewelry again. It’s easy, fun and you’ll get twice the quality for half the price. We’ll start with jewelry, but like all classes at Creativities, you’ll have the chance to dabble in the rest of the studio so you can make a wooden box with beads, an acrylic earring keeper, or a fabric pillow with beaded accents. We’ll also drop in on the clay area and make some of our own beads.

LADIES’ BEADING CLUB Wednesdays 7:00 – 8:30pm Cost = beads chosen + $6 Instruction Fee/session, or $32 for 8 weeks

Part class, part club, this is a chance to enjoy the company of other women while learning to bead at your own pace. Belly up to our Bead Bar and you will never buy jewelry again. We have gorgeous Swarovski crystals as well as metal, wood and glass beads that can easily be turned into earrings, bracelets, purses, clever home décor items and other fun, functional items. All experience levels are welcome. Feel free to bring a bottle of wine and a good friend or two. Just come and enjoy.

CLAY/WOOD/SCULPT/BUILD (2nd -4th grades) and (5th – 8th grades) Tuesdays 5:15 – 6:30 (2nd – 4th) $149 3:45 – 5:00 (5th – 8th) $149

This is a hands-on, three-dimensional class that’s all about building and sculpting! Clay and wood are two of the best, time-tested materials, and you’ll be able to throw in papers, beads, tiles and fabrics as needed, to really design something cool. Make cars, animals, trucks, robots and buildings, while learning the basics of working with polymer clays, wood and even some metal and wires.

CREATIVE WRITING CLUB (ADULTS) Wednesdays 7:00 – 8:30pm $80Part class, part club, this is a chance for those with a love of words to explore them in a comfortable setting with others who share their interest. Like all good writing clubs, no experience is necessary. And because you will be in Creativities, you’ll be able to add some beauty to your writing journals with our fabulous papers and tools, if you wish.

MOM/DAD and ME (Ages 3+) Wednesdays 11am – 12noon $98

Join your little one in getting your hands dirty and making things. We’ll guide. You play. Explore different materials and tactile projects designed just for this age group, to generate the curiosity that forms the building blocks of creative thinking.

MOMS ONLY STUDIO TIME Wednesdays 12:00 – 2:30 $5 studio fee + materials if you make something.

Enjoy the company of other moms without the company of little ones. The whole house is set aside for you at this time, so grab a cup of coffee and take some time to sit and enjoy a good book, magazine or conversation in our library. No need to make something unless you feel like it.

Fundamental forms of art, drawing, sketching and painting are excellent ways to express yourself creatively and they are easier to do than you think. We’ll start with the basics and quickly branch out into the many types of paint, pencil and ink as well as multiple surfaces for an interesting, skill-building course. You’re going to be surprised by what you can do with a couple simple techniques.

Move over Vera Bradley! We’ll make stationery and cards, locker items, journals, scrapbooks, frames and desk accessories with incredible papers, wood and acrylic items, and our impressive array of tools. Try out our letterpress, paper punches, screen-printing, and die-cutting machines, and walk away every week with something beautiful, useful, and designed by you. Participants will also gain instruction in drawing and sketching.

PLANES, TRAINS & AUTOMOBILES (1st grade and up) Saturdays, 11am – noon $129 (Adult + child: add $99)

This is a great class for parents and kids to do together. Construct and finish model race cars, boats, trains, and helicopters. You’ll learn the basics of woodworking including sanding, construction and finishing, and leave with a fleet of customized vehicles.
