Ensured financial support practices comply with Government and County financial guidelines to ensure they meet statutory and Local Authority requirements. Maintained the accuracy and currency of SAP so that the school’s annual accounts and associated information could be produced. Saved the school over £30,000 through developing contacts with local businesses. Converted a loss of £5,000 per annum into a profit of over £20,000 per annum by taking over the management of the sports hall from an external organisation. Made savings of over £18,000 by negotiating and monitoring the performance of contracts for services eg cleaning and reprographics. Project managed capital developments on site, including complete exterior decoration, provision of replacement windows and refurbishment of classrooms and offices and ensured uninterrupted teaching.
