October

2014 Denmark

AgustaWestland signed a five year training contract with Bel Air of Denmark featuring a

comprehensive package of services including simulator training for the AW139

intermediate and the AW189 super medium twin engine helicopters.

October

2014 Norway

AgustaWestland signed a three year flight simulator contract with Lufttransport AS of

Norway for the AW139 and AW169 light intermediate helicopters.

March

2014 Europe

The Italian Civil Aviation Authority (ENAC) and EASA certified the world’s first AW189

FFS to Level-D, the highest qualification for flight simulators. The new CAE 3000 Series

unit is installed at AgustaWestland’s A. Marchetti Training Academy in Sesto Calende,

Italy.

February

2014 Qatar

AgustaWestland announced that it had received an order from Gulf Helicopters for an

AW189 EASA CS-FSTD (H) FFS Level-C simulator to support the company’s pilot

development training needs for the recently announced purchase of 15 AW189 medium

twin engine helicopters. The simulator is to be delivered in offshore oil and gas

configuration and will expand Gulf Helicopters’ training capability as an AgustaWestland

authorised training centre and regional hub.
