“I got a job within a week of finishing...”

“It’s pretty good when you wake up in the morning and really want to go to work – I’d tried lots of things and now I’m doing something I really love working on excavators.

“I enrolled in the Digger School in 2013, when I was 27 and tired of working different jobs for minimum wage. I got a job within a week of finishing and was able to put all my skills to work.

“The best bit of the course was taking everything we learned in the classroom and getting out on the excavators. You learn the skills you need to get started in the industry. Sometimes I find I can show little things to some of the guys with far more years’ experience than me, and that’s pretty great.”
