Security and comfort are the main priorities of St.Petersburg. Tourist information offices of the city provide tourists with all necessary information about the city and are ready to help in emergency cases.

9Cooperating with tourist information organizations
Cooperation objectives: Collaborative participation in the development of a unified information environment with
the aim to provide participants of the tourism sector with accessible, relevant and reliable information about tourist potential of cities and partner regions.
Improving quality of information services for the cities and partner regions. Assistance in arrangement of conditions which encourage active use of natural and cultural
potential of cities and partner regions. Assistance in promotion of tourist products in cities and partner regions.
10Cooperating with tourist information organizations
At the moment Saint Petersburg Tourist Information Bureau’s list of partners includes 47 tourist information centers: 37 Russianand 10 international centers.
Vilnius Tourist Information Centre and Vilnius Convention bureau have been CTIB partners since March 2012.
Under current agreements there is information exchange on partners’ websites as well as exchange of printed reference materials.

National Association of Tourist Information Organizations
In July 2012 CTIB together with Ministry for Culture of Russia initiated the foundation of a non-profit organization which could unite tourist information organizations of Russia.
In November 2013 the National Association of Tourist Information Organizations (NAITO) was founded. Its main aim is to create a unique tourist information environment in Russia.
Currently NAITO under the supervision of Alla Manilova, the Deputy minister for culture of Russia, are working out unified standards for tourist information organisations of Russia.
The new standards will transfer DMO functions to Russian Tourist Information Organizations, starting a new page in Russian tourism development.
12Baltic Sea region in St.Petersburg
St.Petersburg has official partnership relations with countries of the Baltic Sea Region and Scandinavian countries, including Denmark, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Sweden, Finland, Norway and Iceland.
Baltic and Scandinavian countries are present in St.Petersburg via culture centers and institutes. These include: • Suomi-talo in St.Petersburg • Finland institute in St.Petersburg• Danish Culture Institute• Lithuanian center of culture, education and information• Norwegian University Center in St. Petersburg• Nordic School in St.Petersburg
Consulates of all Baltic Sea and Scandinavian countries are based in St.Petersburg
All these makes St.Petersburg an ideal partner for futher cooperation between Baltic,
Scandinavian countries and Russia.
