Bad WeatherAll attempts will be made to collect curbside materials during inclement weather.
If collection is missed, please set out again the following regularly scheduled collection day, or as otherwise advised by the City at www.abbotsford.ca. If collection is delayed until your next regularly scheduled collection day, you will be allowed double your regular garbage allowance. Servicing your home is our priority, but safety of people and property always comes first.
Missed CollectionCommon reasons why your material was not collected
• Items were not at the curb by 7 am.• Containers exceeded the allowable limit and did not
have an extra bag sticker.• Prohibited materials were present.• Tie downs or bungee cords were not removed.• Items were hidden or not accessible.• Look for a sticker on missed items. Collection
crews usually leave a sticker explaining why it wasn't picked up.
• If none of these reasons apply, please call 604-853-5485 for City collection or 604-864-5640 for contractor collection.
• If you are unsure who collects your curbside material call 604-853-5485.
Collection CalendarsThe City provides curbside collection for recycling, compostable waste and garbage to single family and duplex residences.
