Automobiles

e automobile sector has played a key role in the industrializationof Mumbai. Every segment of the automobile sector (includingtwo and three wheelers, passenger cars and commercial vehicles)is represented in the city. Many big automobile companies havecorporate branches in Mumbai, including the largest vehiclemanufacturer in India, Tata Motors. an important base for the Indian Navy.

TelecommunicationsState-owned MTNL is the largest telephone service provider inMumbai. Cell phone coverage is extensive, and both GSM andCDMA services are available in the city. Major service providersinclude Vodafone, MNTL, Airtel, Idea Cellular, Loop Mobile,Reliance Communication, and Tata Idicom.
