Composition of Citrox Products:

The main component of Citrox products is an Extract of Citrus Aurantium Amara – the immature fruits of the bitter-orange.

The extraction is done with just water as extraction media.

This extract consists of Polyphenols or Bioflavonoids which are activated with the aid of Organic Acids – mostly Citric Acid, Ascorbic Acid or Lactic Acid.


Mode of Antibacterial and Antiviral Action of Citrox in Decontamination process:

-The Role of the Polyphenols-

1.Mixed sized polyphenols associated with the “larger bioflavonoids” facilitating the water solubility and “smaller bioflavonoids” for killing a wide spectrum of bacteria and viruses.2.Complexing with;

- bacterial cell wall- extracellular proteins- soluble proteins- inactivate microbial adhesions, enzymes and cell envelope transport proteins

3.Prevent and Remove Biofilm Formation

-The Role of the Organic Acids-

Directions for Use ProAlexin™ PNA002 can be applied in an integrated pest management

programme (IPM) along with synthetic or organic fertilizers to optimise plant development through the various growing stages. Several applications are usually necessary (in a normal program) by spraying or fogging methods depending on crops and climate. The dilution rate is approximately 100ml/hl to 150ml/hl.

Shake well before use. Always add pH buffer to water (up to pH 6-7). Add adjuvant (E.O.S. oil or similar product) for better results.

PLEASE CONTACT YOUR LOCAL DISTRIBUTOR FOR DETAILED PROTOCOL. PRECAUTIONS: Do not apply in the heat of the day. Do not apply if rain is

expected within 6-8 hours. If rain occurs re-apply after rain ceases. Phyto-toxicity might occur when applied together with high dosage of nitrogen. Do not spray together with other chemicals. Spraying mix should be discussed with local advisor (insecticides and adjuvants may be added).
