Citizenship ‘TEACH’ outreach programmeWhat participants had to say…
“We watched an inspirational class taken by the course
leader and saw what can be achieved if we truly believe in and fight for the subject”
“It was tailored to the specific needs of our school and answered
many of our questions.”
“Friendly and engaging staff. Good range of activities. Super to see the structure of citizenship across the curriculum.”
“Risk taking and
active”
“Well presented, practical and
transferable ideas given”
“The teacher conducted an absolutely brilliant lesson. I enjoyed it, and am glad to be heading my career in such a

Commentary: educationalists from subjects or positions other than directly relating to Citizenship received the majority of training. This
highlights how other schools are grasping that Citizenship is more than a subject, extending 1) through student voice and leadership to impact upon the culture and ethos of the school, and 2) as a pathway to bring
relevance and engagement to learning experiences in any subject.
