Land Acquisition Process• Will occur after pre-final design complete.• Plats will be prepared showing easements

and/or right-of-way needed.• Land Acquisition Agent will contact

property owners to negotiate.

Construction • We will coordinate with

property owners well in advance.

• Fences may be temporarily removed & replaced. Relocation to private property may be necessary, if within the right-of-way.

• Work hours are set by VDOT.

• Intermediate Design – Early 2017• Pre-Final Design – Fall 2017• Land Acquisition – Mid to Late 2018• Final Design – Late 2018/Early 2019• Construction – 2019
