Chords and the Circle of 5thsThis is just a basic guide to help you understand how chords are constructed and, hopefully, offers the building blocks so you can build up more complicated chord patterns.
Once you know the basics of building chords you can then experiment with them and try them out in a variety of ways. First how do you construct a chord? Once you have your bass note youll need to pick out the 3rd and the 5th notes which will give you your basic triad.
