2. Technology Protection Measure – the means by which you are filtering your internet

3. Public Notice and Hearing/Meeting – provides opportunity for the public to comment on the filtering of the internet

If you cannot locate the proof that ALL of the above steps have been done, it is recommended that you “re-do” the 3 step process by June 30, 2012.

Note: beginning July 1, 2012, when schools certify their compliance with CIPA, they will also be certifying that their Internet safety policies have been updated to provide for educating minors about appropriate online behavior, including interacting with other individuals on social networking websites and in chat rooms, cyberbullying awareness, and response.
