1. Came in force 1st February 1996

2. Regulations apply to all industrial activities except:

Nuclear installation

!nstallation under t"e armed forces

#e"icle or vessel use in transportation

!ndustrial activity $"ic" involves less t"an 1% percent of t"e t"res"old &uantity set out in 'c"edule 2of t"e Regulations

(. !nclude &uantities of substance $"et"er in pure form) or part of mixture or preparation or present asby product

*. +uantities added for group of installations ,inside -%%m radius belonging to t"e same

manufacturer 

-. /very manufacturer s"all submit notification of !ndustrial 0ctivity Form for existing installation

6. For ne$ installations submit notification not less t"an a mont" before construction

. irector 3eneral may determine if installation is a 4a5or a7ard !nstallation ,4! or not a 4!

8. /very employee s"all:

cooperate $it" t"e manufacturer in complying $it" t"e regulations

act in suc" manner not to endanger "imself or ot"ers

notify manufacturer or ' officer if a$are of potential "a7ard $"ic" can cause a ma5or accident

9. ;"res"old &uantity is specified in 'c"edule 2 of t"e regulations
