CIMA Members 0-5 & 6-10 Years Experience | SAICA Members 3-9 Years Experience

CIMA Members who seek

SAICA Membership:

Must write & pass the Board 1

Initial Test of Competency

(ITC) exam

They will be exempt from the

CTA in order to gain access to

the ITC exam). Candidates who

enter for the exam without a

CTA will be permitted two

attempts at the ITC over two

calendar years, after which

they will be required to

complete the CTA.

CIMA Members will be exempt

from the Assessment of

Professional Competence

(Board 2) exam.

Must complete a period of

SAICA training as follows:

Post CIMA Qualification

experience of 0-5 years, the

prospective Member must

complete 24 months of SAICA

training.

Post CIMA Qualification

experience of 6-10 years, the

prospective member would

normally complete 24 months

of SAICA training, but

individual applications will be

assessed and the 24 month

period may be relaxed.

SAICA Members who seek

CIMA Membership: 3-9 years

experience

SAICA Members with 3-9 years

of relevant work experience in

finance and business

functions shall be exempted

from all CIMA exams except E3

Membership and the Chartered

Global Management

Accountant designation.
