Communication for PC based Automation

One configurationfor all fieldbussesThe SyCon system configurator allowsthe uniform configuration of the commu-nication relationship between fieldbusSlave devices and the Master.The configuration of the communicationrelationship to the individual Slave devicesand the respective fieldbus Master arestored permanently down in the configu-ration memory of the CIF card.

Fieldbus systems made easyWith a fieldbus card as a fieldbus Master,one always has the current process imageof all configured Slave devices.With a CIF card for fieldbus Slave communi-cation, the Dual Port memory of the cardserves as a process image which can beaccessed from both sides at the same time.In both variants the user program neednot concern itself with the actual fieldbuscommunication as this task is automaticallyundertaken by the CIF card, thanks to itsown communication processor.

DriversThe universal CIF Device Driver andthe function library DRV-TKIT presentthe basis for the execution of thefieldbus integration on the applicationlevel independently of the selectedhardware platform. An integrationonce developed can then be usedwith every available fieldbus system.Drivers for many Soft PLCs are avail-able.

The CIF OPC-Server is available for everyfieldbus standard and all Windows-basedoperating systems.There are finished drivers available for manyvisualizing systems and with these the CIFcards can be accessed directly.

Diagnostic InterfaceSerial RS 232 Interface for configurationand online diagnostic.

LED status displaysThe operational condition of the CIF cardand the communication activities on thefieldbus interface are displayed.
