The technological innovation of the New Ducato is the

availability of Start&Stop on 130 and 150 MultiJet engines. The

device temporarily stops the engine when queuing, for instance

at the traffi c lights with the gearbox in neutral, and simply restarts

it when you press the clutch.

It guarantees up to 15% fuel saving in cities and consequently

reduces emissions.

Start&Stop engines are provided with Gearshift Indicator to

suggest the best moment to change gear to exploit the engine

and further reduce consumption.

Furthermore, to respond to the needs of all missions, there are

two 6-speed manual gearboxes for keeping rpm low even on

motorways. A Comfort-Matic robotised automatic gearbox can

be fi tted on the 180 MultiJet Power, the most powerful engine

of all, to combine the excellent engine performance and the low

consumption of the mechanical gearbox with the simplicity

and comfort of an automatic gearbox.

The Up button optimises gear shifts with the vehicle at full load

or uphill automatically guaranteeing the most suitable engine

speed in all cases.

Load it with work: New Ducato is up for any task. Great accessibility guaranteed by sliding side doors which are easy to

open, even with one fi nger! Rear doors open by 90°, 180° or 270° (the latter on request).

This means that when open you can exploit every centimetre of space to load up. The load compartment is provided

with hooks (from 8 to 12) and folding rings for fi xing goods. The interior sides may be covered in thermoformed panels

up to waist height to protect the walls of the vehicle from damage arising from goods moving about. The cargo compart-

ment has a 15-watt ceiling light (a removable light is available on request).

roof lining, light door panels and dark grey dashboard.

All conceived and designed with only one parameter in mind: your comfort. Technology,

comfort and great looks go hand in hand: controls are all easy to reach and operate,

the driver’s seat is fully adjustable to guarantee an optimal driving position, the organisation

of space is very functional. You can have everything you need within easy reach, thanks

to drawers, storage compartments and even a writing desk.

For driving in the best conditions, the climate control system (either manual or automatic)

Steering wheel controls.

Blue&Me™ is an innovative system which additionally

improves the experience on board the New Ducato. It is used

for making hands-free calls using Bluetooth® technology.

The system is compatible with most mobile phones on the

market. The sound system switches to mute (if it is on) when

a call is received and hands-free conversation is activated

through the speakers. You can dial numbers by using voice

controls or dial a number stored in the phonebook of your

mobile phone (previously downloaded to Blue&Me™) simply

by saying the name. With Blue&Me™ you can also listen

to music in digital format (MP3, WMA, Wav and AAC fi les) using

the speakers of the sound system by plugging in your media

player, pen drive or iPod and selecting the tracks using the

controls on the steering wheel.

The dual-stage driver’s air bag comes as standard. Full-size air bags are

available for protecting two passengers in case of two-seat bench version

with side bag and window bag.

A camera located over the rear door transmits an image of the area immediately

behind the vehicle to a display in the cab to aid reversing in total safety.

Rear-view mirrors integrate direction indicators.

People who work all day need peace of mind. This is why New Ducato offers all the safety you need, and a little

more. The most important innovation is Traction+: this is a optional, highly innovative traction control system for

maximum efficiency in case of wheel slip or poor grip surfaces such as for example on slippery, irregular ground.

A double circuit braking system with front and rear disc brakes (front brakes are self-ventilated with a diameter

from 280 to 300 mm). Furthermore, the four-channel ABS with EBD distributes brake force on the four wheels

to prevent locking and guarantees full vehicle control in all conditions. The optional ESP system corrects vehicle

trajectory in case of critical situations guaranteeing driveability in all conditions. The system integrates ASR,

Hill Holder, MBA and LAC (Load Adaptive Control) functions.

With self-levelling suspensions attitude is constant at all times, regardless of load and how it is positioned.

The New Ducato was designed to absorb collisions with maximum efficiency. The non-deformable cell passenger

compartment guarantees the best safety as does the airbag system: in addition to a dual stage driver’s airbag,

a full-size 120 litre air bag is available for front passengers. Side and window bags are available for rear passen-

gers on request.

In other words: absolute all-round protection.
