Analyze the learner There are twenty-four students in my class 14

of them are white, the other 10 are African-American. 12 boys and 12 girls in the class.

My first grade students will learn the alphabet and numbers 1-10 in sign language.

They will learn this and be able to present what they have learned to the class in 1 week with 95% accuracy.

I have two deaf students in my classroom

Predominately white classroom 3% black

Objective

The students will be engages in different

types of learning styles to make sure every

child’s needs are met throughout the

week. We will be watching videos about

sign language, learning the background

and where it came from and doing group

activities. All students will present to the

class what they have learned at the end

of the week with 95% accuracy.

Day-to-day lesson plans Monday- I will introduce sign language and show them a video

about of all the letters and numbers, just to briefly show them what they will be doing. Then they will learn the first 7 letters (a-g).

Tuesday- They will learn numbers 1-5 and look at posters and practice them. They will also learn the next 6 letters(h-m).

Wednesday- They will then review the things they have already learned and finish learning the numbers, (6-10). My students will then and learn the next 6 letters, (n-s) and after they learn them they will get into groups of 3/4 and practice in small groups.

Thursday- We will go over what we learned through out the week as a class then the students will go over notecards of the letters and test each other and create games out of them learn the final 7 letters, (t-z).

Friday- The students will have 10 minutes to practice before they go up individually for their presentation to the rest of the class of what they learned. They must present the alphabet in sign language in sequential order and numbers 1-10
