This Sunday is consecration Sunday, when we bring our commitments to support the ministry of our congregation in the coming year. Please remember to bring your commitment cards with you to church to place in the offering plate. If you can’t be here on Sunday, it would be great help to our church staff and lay leadership if you would mail or drop off your estimate of giving card to the church.
Church-‐wide Brunch
Who: All are invited to attend. The cost is $6.00 for adults and $3.00 for children. Grandy’s will cater eggs, bacon, sausage and biscuits. We will also have doughnuts, milk, orange juice and fruit. What: Celebration of our commitment to serve God and to support the ministry and mission of First Christian Church. When: Sunday, November 15, immediately following the 9:15 service. No Sunday school classes will meet. Where: Fireside Room How: With the love of God and all of our friends and family at First Christian Church
We hope to see you there!
Did you know:
that a group of people from First Christian Church continues to help out at Journey Fellowship? Journey requested assistance in their soup kitchen to help with serving and clean up, and a group from First Christian stepped right up to help. They not only serve every second and fourth Wednesday, they also bring dessert for the 50 to 100 people who attend. Their involvement has expanded from the initial request into much more. Our members realized that several children share the meal at the soup kitchen. At Christmas, Easter, and Halloween this group puts together gift bags for those children. Our DWM and others give donations to help fund the gifts. Journey Fellowship was there for FCC in our time of need, and this group has found a way to give back to them and to the community.
Contact Hilda Nance if you would like to help with this mission.
