In the Early 1830s the 5th Baron Lord Monson purchased the Manor of Gatton.
The Baron toured Germany and The Netherlands buying Gothic artefacts from local churches to furnish St Andrew’s

The window in the porch: Designed and made in 1980 by Jane Gray for the Maiklem family in memory of their young son tragically killed by a falling tombstone in the churchyard.

Lord Monson bought a Baroque choirstall from Ghent, an altar and pulpit from Nuremburg, wrought iron altar work from Tongres, doors from Rouen and the panelling and canopy from the Aarschott choirstalls.

The brass plates carry the names of the past encumbents from 1306 to the present day.

The four painted hatchments carry the arms of the 6th Lord Monson, his wife, the 5th Lord Monson and his mother, the Countess of Warwick. c 19th Century.
