OUR PARISH MISSION STATEMENT Holy Spirit is a Eucharistic Community, formed by and in the Holy Spirit, to enable
our Community to come closer to God and to each other. MASS Saturday: 5:00pm Sunday: 8:00am, 10:00am, 12:00noon Weekdays (Monday - Saturday): 9:00am PENANCE Saturday: 4:00 - And by Appointment BAPTISM Baptisms are scheduled for 1:30pm on specific Sundays. Catechesis for parents is required. Please call the Parish Office to register for Catechesis. Baptisms may only be scheduled after attending Catechesis. MARRIAGE You must meet with a priest at least one year beforehand to schedule the date and time of your wedding. The wedding date is finalized only by meeting with the priest. SACRAMENT OF THE SICK Those who are sick, homebound, or in the hospital are a vital part of our Parish family. Please call the Parish Office to arrange for the reception of the Eucharist and Anointing of the Sick.

This week I send out a gracious thank you to the Knights of Columbus and the Columbiettes as they honored three of our young volunteers at a Mass and lunch last Sunday. Each of them has served our parish for a number of years and are now getting ready to go off to college. The three young students were given their awards and a gift from the Knights and the Columbiettes. They are pictured below.
Additionally, I call your attention to the article below as we once again invite adults, 18 years of age and older to the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA). Happy Independence Day and have a grace filled week.…… Fr. John
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Rite of Christian of Adults Classes to begin in the fall - Once again this fall we will offer the opportunity to those adults who would like to become Catholics or are in need of completing the Sacraments of Holy Communion and/or Confirmation. We invite all parishioners to invite family members and friends to join us. If you or someone you know needs the Sacraments, please call the Parish Office to register for the classes. Classes are usually held on Sundays a couple of times a month from 1:30pm to 3pm.

Ship Ahoy!! The Senior boat ride to explore the Hudson River starts at the Peekskill River Front on Wednesday, July 18th , at 10am to 12:30pm. The cost is $30 per person, bag
lunch included (ham, turkey sandwiches or veggie wrap, small salad, dessert, soda and water). Reservations are required with checks payable to to Holy Spirit Seniors or cash due by July 13th. Bring your camera and take pictures of our interesting and historic Hudson River. Any questions, call Sheila (914) 737-0037. Boat is limited to 30 fun loving people.
ALSO The Senior Group will meet on Friday, July 13th, from 10-12 in the Parish Activity Center. Some of the members formed a book club, which will discuss "The Handmaid's Tale" by Margaret Atwood. Please join us!

The Respect Life and Midnight Run Committees are deeply appreciative to all the parishioners, vounteers and sponsors for their generosity and devotion when ministering to the homeless men and women of New York City on June 29th. With our Lord’s guidance and your efforts, the Run was a great success and a true act of His love. “The King will reply, truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me”. Matthew 25:40.
Vacation Bible School
Get your kids ready to venture onto an uncharted island where they’ll be rescued by Jesus! Anchor kids in the truth that Jesus carries them through every storm in life. Mark your calendars for this summer’s Vacation Bible School August 27th through 31st. The fun will begin at 10 a.m. and keep going until 1 p.m. Please call the Religious Ed Office to register or volunteer to help. Is your child entering first grade in September? Did you know that Religious Education starts in first grade and continues through eighth grade with students attending every year? Do you have an older child who has not recently or ever attended Relgious Education? Please call Elizabeth Kogler in the Religious Ed Office at 734-9243 to find out about registering your child for September, 2018. Registration forms for families currently enrolled in the Program have been mailed out.
