Catholic High School Collections The Legacy of Catholic high school education is a rich one that has strengthen our Church for 184 years in the Archdiocese of Hartford. Your support of the 2017 Catholic High School Collection on the weekend of January 21-22 will help to sustain and enhance this important legacy while securing the future of our Church. Thank you for your investment in the ministry of Catholic high school education

THE EPIPHANY OF THE LORD

The expectant parents who wish to have their child baptized are asked to call the rectory at 387-7119 to prepare properly for this joyous celebration. Attendance at the pre-baptismal program conducted by the parish staff is required. The Archdiocese of Hartford mandates this

program prior to baptism. Baptisms are held on the first and third Sundays of each month. Please call Denise at the rectory to register.

Saturdays 9:00AM at the Center Road Church. The opportunity for “confession/reconciliation” should be a primary objective of every follower of JESUS. All are urged to celebrate this sacrament.

Come and Talk With Us!

The Archdiocese of Hartford welcomes inquiries from men seeking to serve the Church as priests

or deacons and from men and women who are discerning a vocation to the consecrated life as a religious brother or sister.

To talk about a priestly vocation, contact Father Jeffrey Gubbiotti, Vocation Director, at 860-761-7456 or by email: [email protected].

Just a reminder about “Come to the Table”, which provides non-perishable

food for a family at any time during the year, based on request. If you know of a family in need, please call Denise in the church rectory office at 203-387-7119. All family names will be kept strictly confidential.

As you might expect. The food pantry is low on supplies and is always in need of new inventory. Financial contributions and donations of non-perishable food are always welcome. Items include canned fruit, jelly/jam, peanut butter, pasta, pasta sauce, rice canned potatoes, beans, cereal, macaroni and cheese, soup, tuna fish and toiletries. Please leave your donations in the rear of either church.

JANUARY 8, 2017

Confirmation 2017 Community Project Confirmation Class of 2017 is supporting" Linens of Love" a non profit agency supplying linens and toiletries to area shelters and those transitioning to their own place. Sheets, comforters, laundry supplies, and toiletries are welcome. There is a metal laundry basket at the back of the church.

There may be occasion when the rectory and religious education offices are closed due to

inclement weather. On these “questionable” days, you may wish to “call ahead” prior to leaving your home to verify the office is open.

Just to let you know! Note! On weekdays when the Woodbridge School District is closed for inclement weather the 9:00AM Mass is cele-brated at the Center Road Church.

Reminder!! Upon entering church for Mass or any other service, please turn off or place on vibrate your cell phone. Thank you.

Please support those who make this bulletin possible! Whenever possible we ask parishioners to patronize the advertisers who appear on the back page of our bulletin. Please tell the place of business where you saw their adver-tisement. We are grateful to those who utilize the parish bulletin by placing an ad with us.

Please be aware that there are now stricter legal and ethical guidelines regarding the dissemination of patient information from hospitals to churches and clergy. In addi-tion, today’s shorter hospital stays make timely pastoral visit difficult at best. Therefore, if you have occasion to be hospitalized and desire pastoral support, you or a family member should do two things. Notify the rectory of the hospitalization as soon as possible. Also, upon admission to the hospital you will be asked if you desire to have your religious affiliation noted as part of your medical record. Please state both your denomination and parish. If you fail to do either of the above, your parish priest may have no way of knowing your needs.
