ARCHCIOCESE OF HARTFORD BIBLICAL SCHOOL

Our Catholic Biblical School helps adults to know, love

and live scripture more fully through an in-depth Catholic

indicate the nature of your emergency to the answering

service. Fr. Francois or Fr. Gene will be contacted and

will return your call as soon as possible. If it is not an

emergency, kindly leave your message clearly with the

service, Denise will return your call when office hours

resume. For peace of mind, the service is normally on

over weekend. It does offer the caller the Mass schedule

and various options.

SEVENTEENTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME

It’s Back to School Time

The Ladies Guild will once again be collecting school

supplies. Please help us fill a real need in our

community. Donations of notebooks, pens, pencils, crayons, glue sticks, folders, composition notebooks, lined paper and the

like can be left in the Rectory office or on the table inside the

garage. Deadline is Friday, August 22. Deliveries will be made

to two Catholic Schools in New Haven – Saint Frances/Saint

Rose in Fair Haven and Saint Aedan/Saint. Brendan in

Westville. Monetary donations will also be accepted, with

checks payable to the Ladies Guild. For further information

contact Diane Ritucci at 203-387-7428.

The Expectant parents who wish to have their child

baptized are asked to call the rectory at 387-7119 to

prepare properly for this joyous celebration. Attendance at

the pre-baptismal program conducted by the parish staff is

required. The Archdiocese of Hartford mandates this

program prior to baptism. Baptisms are held on the first

and third Sundays of each month. Please call Denise at the

rectory to register.

At this time you will be able to ask questions about the R.C.I.A. process about membership in the Roman Catholic Church, what Catholics believe and do and why? At this time you will have the opportunity to meet the R.C.I.A. team. We also invite any Adult Catholics in need of receiving the sacraments of First Eucharist and/or Confirmation. If you think that God might be calling you to membership in the Roman Catholic Church, please, do join us. Knights of Columbus Council 5467 is seeking new members who are willing to give back to our faith com-munity. All catholic men over the age of 18 are eligible to join.
