Praise & Prayer Concerns

Pray for the summer staff of New City Neighbors as they put the final touches on the summer and prepare to minister to students.

Pray for James Brinks as he is scheduled for a tonsillectomy tomorrow. Pray for a successful surgery and a speedy, complication-free recovery.

Please be in prayer for Sharon Gamache and her family as they mourn the unexpected loss of her sister Mary on June 4. Pray for peace and comfort during this difficult time.

Each member of the Personnel Team has many other God-honoring responsibilities (i.e. providing for and raising families, other church involvement, their work and areas of recreation and service). Please pray that we would be able to meet these responsibilities in a God-honoring way. Reminder that Bob Burggraaf & Paul Baragar's Care Group will meet for prayer in Room 1 immediately following the morning service.

Mission News Jeff, Lisa, Janae, Tessa, Jordan, and Micah Boehm are our Missionaries of the Month. They are presently on home leave from Bangkok, Thailand where they have served with Youth With a Mission for almost 15 years. Jeff currently serves as Executive Director of YWAM's Project LIFE Foundation (http://www.ywamthai.org/projectlife), which encompasses 15 mercy ministries to Thailand's poor and needy. Lisa serves as the Team Leader for Community Life serving the 120 Bangkok YWAM staff by providing opportunities for fellowship and support. We will hear from the Boehms briefly during the service. After worship some of the products made by the ministries will be available for purchase, followed by lunch and an opportunity to hear and see more about their lives and ministry in Thailand. The offering for the Boehms is on June 21, but may be given at any time this month. Ordination Join us as we celebrate the ordination of Jake Parks as a Minister of Word and Sacrament next Sunday, June 21 at 4 PM here at Fourth. Jake and Becky will be moving to Des Moines, Iowa where Jake has accepted a call to serve as the Associate Pastor of Discipleship at Westview Church and Becky will be teaching at the Des Moines Christian School. We are so thankful for their time and service here at 4th. They will be greatly missed! Please pray for a smooth transition as they start this new chapter in their lives. Following the service, cake, punch & coffee will be served in the fellowship hall. Women's Ministry Please join us for a time of fellowship at Tea & Tables on Tuesday, June 23 at 7 PM. Business Class Update "Because of the busy schedules in recent weeks, summer vacations, etc. the class will start up again in the fall. If anyone would like to talk about business conditions, or need a second opinion on something, etc. give me a call, if we can’t figure it out I know experts in many areas of business that I could put you in contact with." Gary Proos New City Neighbors TRIP credit so far this year is $979. The TRIP office will be closed this week. Ordering will resume next Sunday. Urban Farm is in need of glass quart canning jars. If you have any you would like to donate, please drop them off at your convenience. Breaktime & Bakery will kick off on June 22.
