Please consider coming to Big House and joining in the fun we will be having. I foresee a lot of fun and a lot of work being accom-
plished. You do not have to commit to the whole weekend. If you can only come for a couple hours, we would love to have you too. We will have a camp fire weather permitting, making agape for upcoming flights, singing, going on a nature scavenger hunt, enjoying God's creation on the deck on the lake, having bible studies, and watching our friendships grow. You will also have an opportunity to fish in Silver Lake. Please let me know no later than Monday, July 1 if you are coming to Big House. It does cost $80 to stay at Big House and also costs for meals. Please feel free to email me with any questions. [email protected]. Please start considering now and I hope to fill up both cabins with Big House!! If you are planning on Big House, please bring black pants and a white shirt to serve the can-dlelight dinner! Chrysalis Kitchen Help
Needed
I will need help on July 10-11-12th for the Girls Caterpillar Flight at Camp Asbury, espe-cially Friday night to help serve the Dinner meal to the Girls
Teaming members before the
Caterpillars arrive Sat morning.
Also in August 7-8-9-10 there also is a Boys Flight at Camp Asbury, I need men to help serve dinner to the Team on August 7 before the flight cater-
pillars arrive Sat morning.
I am also sure that there is still room at "The Big House" for volunteers to come, stay, and help, especially past flight But-
terflies!

CHRYSALIS AGAPE NEWS
Soon we will be greeting all our new caterpillars as they embark on a wonderful weekend. With that in mind comes a few important an-
nouncements from the Agape committee.
We are still in need of the croched multi-color butterflies that are
handed out on the last day. We need approximately 45 for the first flight and we will need 50 for the second. If you have made them in the
past or are willing to learn how, let me know and I can get you the information on how to make them as soon as possible. This is a very
special agape and I want to make sure we have enough made for both
flights. Thank you in advance!
If you are going to be donating agape, please let me know. We are looking short right now but I have been told that donations comes
through closer to the flight. Cheryl and I are new to this and it will help us out to know who has a tradition of donating and what those items
might be. I would appreciate it if you could shoot me off an email ([email protected]) and let me know what you are working on. You
can drop off what you make to myself, Lisa Wickins (716-542-9567) or to Cheryl Isaman (716-307-8276). Cheryl is down in Olean NY area
and I am up north in Akron NY.

Dear friends,
It is with a humble heart that I share with you my departure as Chair-
person of the Board of Directors. Our family is making a life change, moving
out of the area. I will be leaving in a few weeks. I am so blessed to have had
made such wonderful friends over the
years. I trust our paths will cross again.
This change creates an opportunity
for another individual(s) to serve as Chair. After prayerful consideration by the Board,
Lynn and Pat Blakeman offer themselves in humble service for the remainder of my
term, which concludes in 2017. Lynn and Pat share more of their background else-
where in this newsletter. I ask that you affirm their desire to serve, as the entire
Community must elect the Chairpersons of
the Board.
There has also been a change in the position of Community Spiritual Direc-
tor, as Pastor Rick Koch is leaving for an-other pastoral assignment out of state. The
Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior. We are sad to learn of the unex-pected departure of Jim Moody from our Community and from beautiful Western
New York. Our prayers and our hopes for success go with him and his family. God
Speed.
Just as God has called Jim to a different path, we too are seeking what Gods guidance
for what He has in mind for us. When Jim approached us about filling the remainder
of his term as Community Lay Director, we both felt a strong calling to fulfill His mis-
sion here in our Emmaus Community.
We both went on Western New York Walk to Emmaus #17 at Christ United Meth-
odist Church where we have been members for almost 20 years. I can say that the
Emmaus experience strengthened our faith and brought us closer together. Soon after our Walk we started to serve on Team. We served on the Board of Directors
as 4th Day Coordinator and Librarian. Lynn has twice been a member of the Team
Selection Committee. We have both served as Weekend Lay Directors.
We feel honored to be considered for this important position. If confirmed we will
seek to serve The Walk Emmaus and our WNY Community. We ask for your

Now is the time when the Board of Directors begins to pray about new leaders for five voting Board positions for a three year period beginning in Janu-
ary, 2016. Ideally each leader facilitates needs, engaging others to help with their duties. Each leader is also asked to at tend the monthly Board of Direc-
tors’ meeting, currently held at the Attica: Trinity UMC on the 3rd Friday beginning at 7:00 pm. The current leader is in parenthesis below, with their
contact information in the Board Directory within this newsletter. Feel free to call them to learn more.
Community (Ron and Alice Alsworth) = Facilitates community activities on the Walk, such as the candlelight service and gathering before closing.
Library (Allen and Alethia Keiper) = Keeper and updater of manuals!
Newsletter = (Barb Swanson) Receives and edits articles to produce both a hardcopy and electronic version of the monthly newsletter. Th is position
also facilitates the website to assure information is current.
Supplies (Jeff and Char Smith) = Keeper and organizer of Emmaus weekend materials and supplies. This person(s) has the use of a trail er to move items
from their home to each Walk location.
4th Day (Mike Quesenberry) = Ensures that all community-wide activities, such as the summer picnic and Christmas Party are organized for the benefit of
community members.
Please begin to pray about your willingness to step up and assume one of these roles. You will be blessed many times over!
