  • Pattern Information

A quick recipe for a TARDIS crochet ornament to hang on your Christmas tree.

Intended for crochet beginners, this recipe for the TARDIS' basic shape is a good way to learn simple amigurumi techniques in less than an hour.

The finished TARDIS is about 8cm tall. It's hollow but keeps its shape when hung from a tree or stood on a table. Sadly its not bigger on the inside.

Insert a safety pin or stitch marker to keep track of the row beginning as you go.

This row makes corners around the top edge of your TARDIS

    6) sc the inside loop of each stitch in the row

This row makes a raised ridge

    7) [sc in 5 sts, dec, dec] repeat to end = 28 8-16) sc all

Break yarn leaving a tail and thread tail through last loop on hook to finish. Sew in ends.

Decorate the outside of the TARDIS as desired and add a loop to the top for hanging.

A mini Doctor will fit inside.

    8) sc along until you wish to make an icicle, then chain X, slip X back up chain. Continue working in scs adding droops of different lengths.

Using sewing needle, attach the snowy top to your TARDIS with white wool.
