DAY 3 – Celebrate Christmas Past at Colonial WilliamsburgFor nearly a century Williamsburg was the social, cultural and po-litical center of a fledgling nation. To re-create an early Americanatmosphere, all 88 public buildings have been restored to theiroriginal state. Christmas in Williamsburg is an experience to becherished. Christmas traditions have been handed down over gen-erations. As you stroll along the streets you feel the excitement of“Christmas Past” while period costumed guides and craftsmen re-create the colonial style of life. DAY 4 – Historic Jamestown and YorktownToday, visit Historic Jamestown, the site of the first permanent Eng-lish settlement in North America. Here, you will see the ruins of

the original 1607 James Fort and the restored Jamestown Church.At Jamestown Settlement hear the story of these 17th century Vir-ginia colonists. In Yorktown, visit the American Revolution Mu-seum which tells the story of the nation’s founding from thecolonial period to the dawn of the Constitution. At Yorktown Bat-tlefield learn how George Washington’s forces besieged the Britisharmy thus ending the Revolutionary War and ensuring independ-ence. Back at Williamsburg, bid farewell to the region with a festivefarewell dinner. Meals: B, D
