any Major Illness, or Critical Setback in Lie

The words o the 23rd Psalm have brought more comort and courage to

more people than any other words ever written. When you combine its

comort and courage, then hope is generated; and hope is an essential and

valuable resource to help anyone sufering rom cancer or rom any major

illness or setback in lie.

Series will begin Thursday, January 14 rom 6:30 to 8:00 p.m.

Please consider using your expertise to lead one of our many ministries. Volunteer Champions arebeing sought, to coordinate/lead many ministries within the church. A champion can be either an

individual or a couple, and a church member.

CROWN MINISTRY

Crown Ministry teaches biblical principles regarding finances and possessions. The championshould have a heart to help others learn these principles and to help people in financial crisis. The

champion will:

Recruit leaders and counselors

Schedule events throughout the year

Recruit class members

The weekly time commitment would vary but is estimated to average five hours per week. This

champion can be a seasonal resident.

Watch for other champion needed in the weeks ahead.

Id like to take this opportunity to THANK EVERYONE who participated in

LCT 2009. It was a tremendous joy or us to present The Christmas Post, and to

see God work in a unique way in the hearts and lives o those who attended. Godblessed us with 160+ people who indicated that they prayed to receive Christ as

their personal Lord and Savior. PRAISE THE LORD!!!!! Hallelujah!!!

Im sure that many other spiritual decisions were made as a result o this

efort. Im amazed each year to see so many people giving so much time and

Dear Church Family,

The Wickers want to thank you or the privilege

o serving in one o the worlds greatest

churches. With the busy pace o lie, it is easy or

all o us to orget Gods good gits. At this time

o the annual celebration o Jesus birthday, it is

good or all o us to review Gods blessings this

past year and renew our desire to gloriy Him.

I am incredibly privileged to work with a

Christian All-Star team o pastoral staf and

servant-minded support staf. They have been

helpers o many and o mysel as well, ellow

workers in Christ Jesus, and are those who have

worked hard or you (Romans 16:2-3, 6 & 8).

They are highly gited. They go the second mile

or you and or Him. They have crunched their

budgets and tightened their belts during scal

challenges, and worked without complaint and

urther material reward. Do not orget to thank

them this season and wish them well.

Janet and I are thrilled to have raised our

children in a happy church that loves and arms

them. All three o our children love Christ and

the local church, and have unique callings o

eternal impact. Kristin and Eric have just been

called to the Temple Terrace Baptist Church in

Tampa where he will lead in worship and music.

They will bring their passion or discipleship into

a ministry that is already ruitul, serving with

Pastor Jef Williams. We are thrilled that Mary

Grace and Abby will be closer to us. Little Abigail

Joy was born on December 27 last year. So much

has happened since this time in 2008! Mary

Grace continues to delight us with her strong,

vivacious personality.Evan was licensed to the gospel ministry

recently by our church and will receive his

certicate when he is home. He transerred

rom Southeastern to Southern Seminary or his

masters degree and continues preparation or

missions. He was called to be a ull-time Program

Director or the Crossings Camps in Kentucky.

He is working very hard and hoping to nd more

time or school. He manages to teach a Sunday

School class at his church.

Allyson is a sophomore at Cedarville University

and has a deep passion to minister to orphans.

She is pursuing an early elementary education

degree. She has been driving to Columbus, Ohio

each week to teach a Sunday School class o girls

and has a wide range o riends. She spreads

sunshine everywhere she goes!

Thank you or your prayerul support o Janet

this past year as she continues to teach in

Reresher Womens Bible Study. She ministered

to hundreds and hundreds o pastors wives in

the poor areas o India and Nigeria. God has

given her a unique burden to help widows in

Arica, and especially those who are pastors

wives and are destitute. I am so grateul or

our 34 years together, as we celebrate our

anniversary on December 27th.

Serving with and or you is the highlight o our

many years in pastoral ministry. While we are

grateul or this past years blessings, we expect

that the best is yet to come in 2010. We will

claim the reality o our Emmanuel (God with

us) this season and in the months to come. We

rejoice that, I God is or us, who can be against

us (Romans 8:31)? Because God came to us

that rst Christmas and is or us, He will work

in us. Remember the challenge o Max Lucado:

When you admit that you have no other option

but to cast all your cares on Him, He is waiting in

the midst o the storm.
