Christmas card YARN USAGEAnchor Stranded Cotton, worked with 2 strands.

STITCH TECHNIQUE Cross stitch and backstitch worked over 2 fabric threads each way.

FABRIC About 10 x 15 cm 28# linen fabric in natural shade.

NOTIONS1 red card blank (11 x 15.5 cm).

ALL YOU NEED TO DONeaten the raw edges of the fabric with zigzag stitch. Embroider the motif centrally onto the fabric. Glue the embroidery behind the aperture of the card blank. If you wish, twist a cord using Anchor Metallic #300 and tie around the card so that you can slip a paper insert inside.

STITCH TECHNIQUE Cross stitch and backstitch worked over 2 fabric threads each way.

FABRIC About 11 x 20 cm 25# evenweave fabric in mint green.

NOTIONS1 red card blank (11 x 15.5 cm).

ALL YOU NEED TO DONeaten the raw edges of the fabric with zigzag stitch. Embroider the motif centrally onto the evenweave fabric about 2 cm down from the top edge. Once the embroidery is complete, turn under about 1 cm along the bot-tom edge and then fold about 4.5 cm upwards to make an open pocket into which you can put your gift of money. Now glue the embroidery be-hind the aperture of the card blank. If you wish, twist a cord using Anchor Metallic #300 and tie around the card so that you can slip a paper insert inside.

CROSS STITCHCross stitch is worked in two stages – first work the lower stitch (from left to right) and then work the upper stitch (from right to left).

BACKSTITCH Backstitch is worked from right to left.

TIPAlways work cross stitch with a Tapestry needle! Always work the cross stitch first and only then work the backstitch or straight stitch. Each square on the chart represents one cross stitch.

WASHING INSTRUCTIONSAll our threads are produced in accordance with Oeko-tex standards. PH val-ues are tested and all our colors dye lots adhere to Global fastness standards. However, it is important to follow our thread washing instructions. Particularly with dark colors, excess dye can remain on the thread. To minimize any po-tential bleeding of excess dyestuff it is important to wash the products in THE HOTTEST TEMPERATURE possible, in accordance with the specifications of the fabrics, and use a large amount of water. Please make sure that you also follow the fabric washing instructions. As a precaution, you can also use decolorating sheets that you can find in any supermarket.
