TRANSCRIPT
The diamond is the greatest of all gems. It daz-zles the eyes of those who behold it. When a flaw, such as a carbon spot is found in one, it shows up easily. The same flaw in a clump of dirt would not be so evident.
David was a diamond of a man (Acts 13.22). Consequently when he committed adultery and murder they flawed his beautiful character. Such actions by a righteous man become obvious.
The same can be said of Moses (Num 20.2–13). He was a flawless man, so when he dis-obeyed God it was obvious to all of Israel (Num 20.12).
When each man sinned God dealt with them harshly, because sinned took away from their righteousness. With the wicked these actions are not as glaring. Like a carbon spot on a clump of dirt.
Likewise, when we suffer for wrong (while the wicked do not seem to suffer), it is because God is
working out the flaws in our diamond characters,
He who corrects a scoffer gets shame for himself,
And he who rebukes a wicked man only harms himself.
Do not correct a scoffer, lest he hate you; Rebuke a wise man, and he will love you. Give instruction to a wise man, and he will
be still wiser; Teach a just man, and he will increase in
learning. (Proverbs 9.7–9)
The wicked will suffer in the judgment, but God works with the righteous to keep them from future punishment. Therefore, when you suffer for wrong-doing, rejoice, for it means that you are a diamond in God’s sight. DR

The Lord’s Prayer Part 3
Vacation Bible School Count-down 77 Days
Vacation Bible School is approaching quickly! It will be held on June 25 - 29. First of all, thank you to all the people
who make this work each year and to all of those who have already signed up.
There are many opportunities to serve at VBS and it's a great way to get to know the families in our community. We still
need volunteers to decorate, teach class, lead games and be group guides. Or if you like being funny and love getting
kids to laugh we have some openings for you in the puppet crew. There are also
other ways you can volunteer that haven't been listed here. If you have
never signed up for VBS its not too late to get involved. Sign up with Carl Peugh
this morning.

The Storms of Life “Not all storms come to disrupt your life. Some come to clear your path.” –Unknown Author
The Big Bang Theory By Steve Higginbotham
I have to come clean and con-fess that I believe in the Big Bang. Now wait! Don’t stop reading here. Let me explain. The Bible itself, teaches a “Big Bang.” Read it yourself.
“But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with a fer-vent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up” (2 Peter 3:10).
There you have it, “The Big Bang.” Evolutionists are partly right, but their timing is wrong. The Biblical “Big Bang” didn’t occur at the beginning of time, as the evolutionists teach.
However, it will occur at the end of time. The “Big Bang” didn’t bring things into exis-tence, but it will take things out of existence.
Satire from The Babylon Bee: Woman Unsure Why She Needs Jesus After Preacher Spends 30 Minutes Telling Her How Amaz-ing She Is
TWIN OAKS, AZ—According to reports coming out of Hope Community Church, first-time visitor Brittany Wilson remains unsure about why she needed “this Jesus guy” in her life after the pastor spent the entire Sun-day sermon reiterating how awesome, amazing, unique, and special she is.
“The message was super-en-couraging. It was all about how I need to let the goodness within me shine and ‘just do me,’ without worrying about all the haters,” Wilson said after the service.
“But then the pastor said I needed Jesus, out of the blue. Like, what? It made no sense. I’m not sure what He has to of-fer that I don’t, based on how wonderful the pastor said I am.”
Wilson, who hasn’t attended church since she was a child, further reported she was “a little hurt” that the pastor would segue into an invitation to add Jesus to her life.
“It really undermined my con-fidence in myself,” she said, adding she wouldn’t be back anytime soon.
