Hymn # 600 (Old Blue Book) - “This is My Father’s World”
“This is My Father’s World”
1. This is my Father’s world, And to my listening ears All nature sings, and round me rings The music of the spheres. This is my Father’s world. I rest me in the thought Of rocks and trees, of skies and seas, His hand the wonders wrought.
2. This is my Father’s world; The birds their carols raise; The morning light, the lily white, Declare their Maker’s praise. This is my Father’s world; He shines in all that’s fair; In the rustling grass I hear him pass, He speaks to me everywhere.
3. This is my Father’s world; O let me ne’er forget That though the wrong seems oft so strong, God is the Ruler yet. This is my Father’s world, The battle is not done, Jesus, who died, shall be satisfied, And earth and heaven be one.

Hymn # 39 - “You Are God’s Work of Art” The Creed p. 189
The Intercessions
Anyone who does God’s will is considered a close familymember of Jesus.
As members of God’s family, let us pray together to ourheavenly Father.
That as family members of the Church of God we may showhis likeness by doing his will; that those visiting our churchesmay find there God’s beauty and truth, open-hearted lovingand a unity of purpose.
Father:let your will be done.
That as members of the human race we may work together, share resources, respect and learn from one another. Thatleaders may inspire collective good, and those with vision bevalued and heard.
Father:let your will be done.
- 6 -
That we may give both support and space to those we loveand nurture; that those of our own families who do not yetknow God may come to understand the depth of his love forthem.
Father:let your will be done.
That all who come to Jesus in need may find in himforgiveness, healing and wholeness of body, mind and spirit, strength to cope with their difficulties and a constant innerrenewing.
Father:let your will be done.
That as those coming to death roll up the tents of their earthlyexistence, they may be welcomed into the eternal homeprepared for them by their loving God.
Father:let your will be done.
That as we marvel at the generosity of God’s love, and hisacceptance of us, we may grow closer to his likeness eachday we live.
Merciful Father, accept these prayers for the sake of your Son,our Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen.

SUNDAY SCHOOL PRESENTATIONS
OFFERTORY HYMN # 106 N. B. - “Lord of the Dance”
“Lord Of The Dance” 1. I danced in the morning when the world was begun, and I danced in the moon and the stars and the sun; and I came down from heaven and I danced on the earth at Bethlehem I had my birth.
Dance then wherever you may be; I am the Lord of the Dance, said he; I'll lead you all wherever you may be, I will lead you all in the dance, said he.
2. I danced for the scribe and the pharisee, but they would not dance and they wouldn't follow me; I danced for the fishermen, for James and John; they came with me and the dance went on. Dance then wherever you may be.........
3. I danced on the Sabbath and I cured the lame; the holy people said it was a shame; they whipped and they stripped and they hung me high, and they left me there on a cross to die. Dance then wherever you may be..........
- 8 -
4. I danced on a Friday when the sky turned black- it's hard to dance with the devil on your back; they buried my body and they thought I'd gone- but I am the dance and I still go on. Dance then wherever you may be....
5. They cut me down and I leap up high: I am the life that'll never, never die; I'll live in you if you'll live in me- I am the Lord of the Dance, said he. Dance then wherever you may be.........

Special Lecture at Christ Church
“Science & Christianity as Cultural Authorities”
June 20 2018, beginning at 7:00 pm at Christ Church
Everyone is welcome to join us for a special lecture at Christ Church on“Science and Christianity as Cultural Authorities”! Introductions to scienceand religion generally describe four possible ways of relating the two,Warfare, Compartmentalized, Dialogue, and Integration. While quite helpfulas an introduction, these four broad categories are not very explicit aboutthe fact science and religion can be integrated in both beneficial anddetrimental ways. Drawing on the work of Thomas F. Torrance, this talkreorients the discussion around the distinctive- ness of divine revelationfrom the natural world, and the differing challenges we face in coming toknow them. McEwan argues that each discipline (science and theology) canindirectly aid the other: science can aid theology’s understanding ofrevelation; theology can aid science’s understanding of nature. However, neither discipline can do the other’s job for it. Examples of boundaryviolations between science and religion will be contrasted with mutuallybeneficial, asymmetrical partnership. Mark McEwan is Project DevelopmentOfficer for the Canadian Scientific and Christian Affiliation. More info: csca.ca/nova-scotia
