CHRISTMAS OPENING HOURS

Opening hours for the LeedsBID office over the Christmas & New Year period areas follows:

Monday 23rd December - 8.30am-4pmTuesday 24th December (Christmas Eve)- Friday 27th December -closed

Monday 30th December - 8.30am-3pmTuesday 31st December - 8.30am-3pm

Wednesday 1st January - closedThursday 2nd January 2020 onwards normal opening hours - 8.30am-5.30pm

The LeedsBID Street Rangers are working every day from 6am-2pm, with theexception of Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, and working 6am-noon on Bank

Holidays (Boxing Day and New Year’s Day).

The Leeds Welcome Ambassadors are working every day, with the exception ofChristmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.

Leeds International Festival podcast

A new podcast has started in the run up to Leeds International Festival 2020, bringing to Spotifychats with the L20 team, artists and partners.

Enhancing Data Understanding for Business

Ambition:Leeds is holding a two hour course in January to provide businesses in retail andhospitality a grounding in the fundamentals of city centre data.

Big Change Leeds

Businesses have been showing their support for Big Change Leeds in the run-up to Christmaswith a number of different collections.

The latest fundraising activity from staff at Squire Patton Boggs as part of their Charity of the

Year support has seen 14 boxes of food, toiletries and cleaning products as well as 10 boxes ofclothing collected, which are to be split between Emmaus Leeds and Streetwise to help those in

need.

Shulmans are also collecting items for Street Paws, Streetwise and the Joanna Project.

Mental Health First Aid training

If you're looking to upskill yourself or staff with Mental Health First Aid training, there's going tobe a two day course held at the end of January for you to book on to.

Pop Up Piano Performances

Last week we greeted visitors in Leeds with pop up piano performances around the city centre.There's going to be more of these this weekend, to brighten up the Christmas visit to Leeds.

Saturday 21st Dec - 12pm Leeds Station, 1pm Victoria Quarter, 2pm The Light.

Sunday 22nd Dec, 12pm Leeds Station, 1pm Corn Exchange, 2pm Victoria Quarter.

Leeds train station - further works to be carried out

This year at Leeds Station, there will be no train service on Christmas Day or Boxing Day.

In addition to these days work will continue on the area of track that serves platforms 1-5 on 27,28 and 29 December. On these days there will be a bus replacement service operating between

Leeds and Harrogate. A full train service will resume on Monday 30 December.

LSSI Postgraduate Placement Scheme

The Leeds Social Sciences Institute is keen to promote partnership and research collaborationsbetween postgraduate students and non-academic organisations, including the business
