Our Game RulesPlacement on the board and score at the end of the

game will give the player their fortune

The goal is to earn the most points

Turn-based based game with up to 4 players

Played on a board made of hexagonal tiles

Each player chooses one of the 6 fortune paths

Each path has a different icon, color, and strength/weakness associated with it

Each path gives each player a specific tile set

Our Game Rules Cont. There are a set number of action points per turn

Actions points can be used to place a tile or move the player

3 Points per turn You can accumulate action points up to a certain number

(9)

Players must build a path between preset checkpoints to reach their path’s goal (they must hit all checkpoints before reaching their goal in order to end the game)

The game ends when one of the players reaches the final goal checkpoint along their fortune path

The player that ends the game will receive bonus points

Our Board MechanicsThe board will consist of the following tile types:

However, most tiles will be blank so that players can build their paths

Checkpoints generate score points every turn after they have been reached

Random tiles on the board will have effects

Our Effect TilesEffect Tiles: These will relate to fortune (e.g. An

obstacle would say, “You’re plans are not going well”)Obstacle - no set tiles may be placed hereBomb - this background tile will explode, removing

any set tiles on or touching it, after 10 turnsChaos - set tiles placed here will be changed to a

random color after5 turnsGood Luck - set tiles placed here have double

effectHealth/Stamina - if the player walks over this set

tile, they don't lose an action point for moving

Our Effect Tiles Cont. Longevity - can remove opponents set tile if it has been

in play for at least 1 turn Life/Planning - this set tile gives an extra action point

every 3 turns Envy - opponent set tile becomes a player set tile, even

if it is a special set tile Fate/Foresight - this set tile and all those touching it

cannot be affected by another player Curse - opponent set tile will disappear next turn Business/Wealth - gives double score points Competition - obstacle set tile Fame/Ambition - Acts as three set tiles Leverage - once this set tile is placed, no opponent set

tiles can be placed on any adjacent background tiles

Our Tile Mechanics Tiles that are put down will generate score points each turn

Placing a player tile on top of a pre-set colored tile that is the same color associated with their path will give the player double points for that set tile

Players can lay tiles on top of other players pre-set colored tiles, but will not receive points for these

Tiles cannot be placed on top of opponent tiles, this also means that two different color tiles cannot occupy the same background tile (allowing blocking through normal path creation)

Tiles cannot be placed on top of opponent tiles - UNLESS it is a special set tile that specifically effects another tile. If such a tile is placed on a Good Luck background tile (double effect) the player who placed that special set tile can choose to affect one other adjacent set tile

Each tile set will have a specific number of different effect tiles
