Greetings! We are heading into a very fun and creative time at Natureworks. For the next 10days, my staff and I will be spending most of our time putting together unique

designs for both inside andout. We are known for ourtiny arrangements ofgreenery, perfect for lastminute gifts. The terrariumsthat Jillian, Kassie, andAmber are making put ahuge smile on my faceevery time I walk in thedoor. They are justmagical! We are fillingbaskets with fresh greensand berries and addingfestive bows. WE will havecenterpieces for the

holiday table and welcome custom orders to fit your style and decor. I am stilltwisting up mixed evergreen wreaths and continuing to bring new and unusualboughs from my yard every morning.

Succulents areeverywhere, from terrariumsto pretty containers, to beingincorporated right into ourevergreen centerpieces.We have outdoor wintergardens of dwarfevergreens (including ournative wintergreengroundcover) and indoorgardens of houseplants,both green and flowering.Amber and Jillian justdesigned truly specialminiature boxwood tabletoptopiaries, complete withsparkle garland and a star on top. We have shadow boxes of succulents and

winter scenes, something you won't see anywhereelse. We have potted up giant amaryllis bulbs andpaperwhite narcissus bulbs in pots complete withgreen moss and lovely ribbons. Our hyacinth jarsare bursting with rooted bulbs, ready to flower inyour home this winter and we also have beautifulboxed kits, so easy to keep on hand for gift giving. We like to make all of your gifts special- whether itbe by adding a bow or customizing a terrarium fora cat lover or naturalist. We love to ask youquestions and find out what the person you arechoosing a gift for is like. It's surprising what theaddition of a couple of small items can be topersonalize a gift.

Succulents are finding their way into our holiday arrangementsthis year. Later, they can be potted up to become a part of your

houseplant collection.

This Thursday night is CustomerAppreciation Night. From 5-7pm we will be serving wine, hot

beverages, deliciousrefreshments, and offering freechair massages by CarolineMulligan of Care's Touch and herstudents. This is our way of sayingTHANK YOU to our wonderfulcustomers who have made 2016such a great year. Please stop byand raise a toast with us.

We now have Discount CTFlower and Garden Showtickets available. Pick up a pair of

tickets and plan a trip to the flower show with a loved one in February.Natureworks will of course have our huge booth, filled with seeds, bulbs, and othergoodies. We are also helping with a Pollinator Garden AND I am speaking twice atthe show. We have quite a bit of winter to get through before the flower showcomes around, but when it does, it is a right of passage to spring, an event not tobe missed.

Peace Wreaths come in many sizes and look stunningwhen lit up at night. My giant, wild and crazy peace

wreath is on a timer on my front porch and welcomesme home each night.

On Sunday I managed to start my own Christmas decorating at home. I got mytree in the house and in the stand and the lights on. Hanging my belovedornaments is a process and it will take a week to decide which ones will fit on the

tree this year. I made agigantic Peace Wreath andlit it up and hung it on myfront porch. Peace on Earthis a sentiment we all needto embrace today andevery day as our worldcontinues to change and

evolve. I also made a hugeswag and hung it on mylamppost, filled some vaseswith fresh cut greenery, andstarted bringing out myChristmas linens. I surroundmyself with tiny whitetwinkling lights and lots ofcandles as the shortestdays of the year are uponus. I LOVE our new purebeeswax votives andtapers, they smell so good.

I put glass candlesticks on the table each night for dinner, and place them in mydining room window facing the driveway, among the greenery, when I amexpecting company. For the next two weeks, my home will become more andmore magical inside and out. I love this time of year.
