To better meet the increased needs of children and youth
in learning and improving their Chinese language skills
and sharing the Chinese culture, the Confucius Institute at the University of Arizona
and the Tucson Chinese Culture Center will continue to offer Chinese Star language
and culture summer day-camp in 2017 through the Arizona Youth University.
Students will have an enriched curriculum of Chinese anguage, as well as special
instruction in Chinese martial arts, Chinese music, cooking & cuisine, games & crafts,
singing & dancing, calligraphy, and much more. “Traveling in China” will be the camp’s
theme to provide students a memorable experience of China’s rich cultural heritage
and Modern China.
Meanwhile, students will be immersed in a Chinese-language The exceptional
instructional team includes professors, experienced teachers, professional musicians,
artists, and Kung-fu masters. Lunch, snack, instruments and class supplies will be
provided.
