Program Description

Tuition Includes: Classes, Living Accommodations,Three Meals per Day, and Transportation to DalianOnce a Week

180 US$ /Week: Students will immerse themselvesin 18-24 credit hours of Chinese language andculture classes.

In addition to Chinese language classes, the culturalelective classes that my be offered are Chinesecooking, traditional Chinese instruments lessons,Chinese music appreciation, as well as traditionalChinese painting and calligraphy.

*No Chinese language experience is required.

Although the dates of yourparticipation in this program areflexible throughout the year, thetransfer of academic credit to youruniversity will be subject to youruniversitys requirements. Please see

Internship Opportunity

(no teaching experience required)and take 8-12 hours of Chineselanguage and culture classes.

Internship opportunities will begreater for those participating in themajority of a full semester during theacademic year. First Semester: September 1 January

Teaching English

Teaching Chinese students conversation English willnot only be an excellent resume builder, but will alsopartly support your stay in China. YOU DO NOT NEEDANY ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEACHING EXPERIENCE!All

university students who are native speakers ofEnglish are qualified for the position. DJTU-IEI willprepare some teaching materials for your referencebut your own creativity is encouraged.

An orientation is offered by DJTU-IEI within the firstweek of your arrival to familiarize students with thelocal environment
