Dear Pupils, Parents & Carers, I hope you are all keeping well and enjoying the return of the sunshine. Many of you celebrated the 75 th anniversary of VE day last week and I am sure, whatever you did, it was a memorable family day in your homes and gardens. I am sure, like me, you listened to Sunday’s announcement from the Prime Minister regarding the re-opening of schools. Dear Pupils, Parents & Carers,

I hope you are all keeping well and enjoying the return of the sunshine. Many of you

celebrated the 75th anniversary of VE day last week and I am sure, whatever you did, it was

a memorable family day in your homes and gardens.

This made all the staff think about the past and what we all looked like when we were

younger. Have a look below and see if you can guess who is who?

I am sure, like me, you listened to Sunday’s announcement from the Prime Minister regarding

the re-opening of schools. We will be sending out a letter on Monday explaining the measures

we will have in place for the phased reopening. Of course, your child’s and the staff’s safety

is paramount to us at this time, and we will be following Government guidance to ensure this.

Stay safe everyone and keep making a difference; staying in really is saving lives!

Mrs Flack

Thank you for continuing to send in your home learning pictures; we love looking at them and

emailing replies back to the children. We are so pleased, from speaking to parents, to hear

how our children are adapting to this new normal. We can’t wait to see everyone again though

and we know we are one day closer to that with each day that passes.

Visit our Facebook page for a special message from everyone at

Chilmington Green Primary School. We miss you so much and we look forward to seeing you all

very soon!

We’ve seen so many of you logging into Bug Club and racking up that reading mileage! If you haven’t already why not make this week the week to start! Your child’s login details are in the

front of their reading record books.

Congratulations to the Star Readers listed below who have completed the most amount of books this

week. Don’t forget to answer questions throughout your books to complete them and for the chance to get onto the leader board next week!

The children in 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each class will receive a certificate when we are all back into school for their reading mileage! Can you challenge yourself with your reading and beat your peers?

Hi

Hi Everyone Janitor John here letting you all

know that Chilmington Green School is being

looked after even though most of you, during

this difficult lockdown time, can’t come in for

lessons.

I check on the school every day trying to

make sure that things are working and the

school stays safe. I must admit it’s lonely and

I for one cannot wait for the classrooms to be

full again and to see children enjoying the

playground. In the meantime, I am missing you

all SO MUCH but soon we will all be together

again. In the meantime, don’t forget, wash

your hands and STAY SAFE.
