and is the same on used throughout. The text is located on the out side corners of each double page spread, and on the middle of the next page. This is repeated throughout the book till the end section. The final section is laid out differently as the pattern of the story changes. The imaged are broken up into boxes and the text laid underneath.

• Images: The images within this book are textured and detailed, the double page spreads alternates from colourful to black and white with the pattern of the text, this is until the end section where all of the pages are colouful.

serif font that is the same in the whole book. The text is only on the left hand side page of each double page spread.

• Images: This book contains lots of brightly coloured, painted collage style images. These are located on each page of the book, however they completely fill the right page of a double page spread and some of the left hand side page.

Elmer• Author: David McKee• Illustrator: Davis Mckee• Publisher: Andresen Press• Pages: 32• Page dimensions: 24cm x 27.5cm• Font: The font used in the book ‘Elmer’ is a serif font that is the same in

the whole book. The text is written in both pages throughout the book in spaces left within the images. It is placed on areas of solid colour to make it easier to read.

• Images: The images are very bright and colourful throughout the whole book on each page. The pages are linked together as the image flows from on side to another. There are blank spaces within the images to allow space for the text and make it easy to read with no pattern behind.
