unclean water lack of public space during flooding season
Community of Claverito is a floating community located at the edge of Iquitos, the fifth largest city in Peru. The community is facing serious problems of global warming and Amazon River annual flooding. People in this community need to rebuild their infrastructure every year to correspond to the flood. Moreover, they are losing their public space during every flood season. In the meanwhile, it’s hard for them to access to clean water from the river and the city.

Using “Sonata” as a metaphor, In this design, I focus on creating more interesting route for residents and school kids. I weave together fragmented civic activities, transit, bicyclists and pedestrians through different tempos of design qualities that relate to their immediate context.
