Jan 2015 - 4 CSLN members are awarded a grant for Culturally-Inspired Smart Grid Education in 3 Chicago Communities Feb 2015 - CSLN gets a logo! Mar 2015 - Round table #1: 17 CSLN members and Chief Sustainability Officer Karen Weigert discuss ways to form collaborative partnerships. April—Oct 2015 - ‘Is It Just Space?’ multidisciplinary 10 event series with 26 partners April 2015 - CSLN partners with crowdfunding platform ioby to fund 4 collaborative projects featuring 26 partners. April 2015 - CSLN members present at the Integrated Network for Social Sustainability (INSS) International conference from the Michigan site. June 2015 - Northside Sustainability Hub location launches July 2015 - Round table #2: CSLN members, Karen Weigert & Chicago Parks Dept met to discuss access and use of public parks and community space. Toni Anderson is Founding Executive Director of Sacred

Keepers Sustainability Lab. She facilitates workshops

on sustainability, consumer economy, monarch and

urban ecology.

Melanie Eckner

North Side Liaison

Uptown Coastal Initiative

Melanie is an editor who specializes in multilingual

projects. She also works with the Uptown Coastal

Initiative, where she combines her profound

knowledge of Uptown’s history with her passion for

sustainability.

Lorena Lopez

Southwest Liaison

Faith in Place

Lorena coordinates the outreach support staff at Faith

in Place as they connect with and educate faith

communities throughout the state around energy

efficiency. She has been married for over 13 years and

is the proud mother of three children.
