Sub.: Promotion of Basketball activities in the Government schools in associationwith Reliance Foundation.

The Reliance Foundation in association with National Basketball Association(NBA) intends to start a comprehensive youth basketball programme which hasbeen designed to provide the schools with the tools and resources to inspirestudents to lead a "Healthy Active Lifestyle". This programme is aimed at engagingthe children in their school with their 10 week curriculum teaching children thefundamentals of the game and instilling important life skills via sport.

They have entrusted this work to Mis Spartz Consult Pvt. Ltd., an eventexecution agency for implementing this programme in India.

The salient features of the programme are as under:-

1. School's coach and I or physical education (PE) instructor will receivebasketball training from NBA supplied coaches;

2. School's coach and/or PE instructor will be provided turnkey curriculumand equipment to teach basketball to students,

3. Invitation to send players/teams to elite training camps and city-wideProgram competitions;

4. Ongoing access to resources on Reliance Foundation Jr. NBA Indiawebsite; and

5. School will be designated a Reliance Foundation Jr. NBA memberschool.

The projected schedule of the programme is as under:-

9th Oct.'15 - "Train the Trainers" Clinic for coaches I PE Teachers (10 amto 5 pm)

10'h October, 2015 - RF Jr. NBA Program begins

12'h to 19'h December 2015 - RF Jr. NBA Competitions & Finals.

Accordingly, please find enclosed herewith a list of 180 schools, who havebeen shortlisted to nominate their Physical Education Teachers in the trainingprogramme on 9th October, 2015. The details of the venue, timings etc, are asunder:-

Venue: The Mother's International School,Sri Aurbindo Marg, Near Hauz Khas Metro Station,NewDelhi-110016.

DAY: 9th October, 2015 (Friday)Timings: 8.30 am to 5 pmThe teachers from the enclosed list, are directed to report at the venue at

8.00 a.m. One school will nominate one Physical Education Teacher for thisprogramme.

The breakfast, lunch and evening tea will be provided to the participants atthe venue.

The participating teachers will be treated "On Duty" for all purposes for thesaid training programme.

Once the one day session is over, the concerned Physical EducationTeacher will impart the training to the students in their school. The experts of Jr.NBA will oversee the training programme by their random visits to the schools.
