294 CSD PRODUCT DATA SHEET APPLICATION AREAS Bearings Chains & Cables Air, Pneumatic Tools Molds & Dies Fork Lifts Brakes & Clutches KEY FEATURES AND BENEFITS Low aromatic content Fast evaporation rate No residue Dissolves resins, polymers, adhesives and petroleum residues Contains no ozone depleting materials Safe for all metals, most plastics, rubber and coatings NSF C1, K1, K3 Registered 143867 PACKAGING Aerosol DIRECTIONS Before using Chesterton 294 on painted surfaces, plastic or rubber, a small amount of 294 should be placed on the surface in a non-critical area. Wait about 15 minutes and check surface for attack or softening. If damage has occured, do not use product. Apply the product directly to the surface to be cleaned. Allow a short time for 294 to attack the soil. In some cases, with stubborn deposits, mechanical action should be used. Wipe the part/equipment with a absorbent wiper or allow the part/equipment to air dry. DESCRIPTION Chesterton’s 294 CSD is a fast acting, industrial degreaser for critical equipment. It contains no chlorinated, aromatic or solvents of questionable toxicity. Designed to quickly penetrate and cut through dirt, grime, oil, grease, asphalt, adhesives and other contaminants to minimize downtime and reduce the time of mechanical maintenance operations. 294 CSD is formulated to be fast evaporating and low in residue preventing costly downtime. It is compatible with most surfaces and will clean a broad range of soils found in industry. 294 CSD is commonly used as a general- purpose degreaser for maintenance; excellent in removing lubricant deposits prior to maintenance or re-lubrication. Cleans optical and electrical components, removes printing inks, resins and polymers. 294 CSD should not be used on energized electrical equipment or near ignition sources. Before using this product, please refer to Safety Data Sheet (SDS). Technical Data reflects results of laboratory tests and is intended to indicate general characteristics only.
