Evening meetings for 2015/2016 (6:00-9:00 PM) will be October 8th, December 6th Holiday Social, January 14th, March 10th, April 14th, and June’s Summer Social. The dates in the afternoon (11:30 AM- 1:30) will be November 12th at the Artist Gallery, and the Princess Anne Country Club: December 10th, February 11th, and May 12th. Meetings are not mandatory, so you can attend as many or as few as you’d like. Interested in joining? Contact Karen Maszewski email: [email protected] or call 464-4395. Obtaining the Right of Entry documents from the 7 property owners

who did not support the SSD and are impacted by the community

channels has proven to be a very slow process. City representatives

have contacted the property owners to try to obtain

resolution. The city will be considering alternatives to the current

plan, including slight modifications to the project design. They are

also finalizing plans for a temporary transfer site for the east side

off of Wolf’s Neck Road. We are pushing to get the project

submitted to the regulatory agencies with the option to amend the

submission later, if necessary.

The city is well aware that we have passed the second anniversary

of the SSD being established and it needs to move forward. To be

fair, I have to note that our community has also contributed to the

process dragging out while folks revise plans and finalize

decisions. It is a frustratingly slow process, however, we are

moving forward.
