CherylBratt.com Information Cheryl Bratt is a proud resident of Park City, Utah. She has lived in Utah all of her life. She was born in Salt Lake City to two loving parents. As a child, Cheryl was highly active in neighborhood sports- first it was kickball, then soccer, but she would gladly play any game or sport her friends in the neighborhood invited her to play. On days that it was cold, time was spent indoors playing cards or knitting. Cheryl’s mom was a great knitter- she had made warm quilts and sweaters to help face the harsh temperatures. It wasn’t that she had made a conscious effort to be active- it is simply what she loved to do- it was fun. There weren’t the technological distractions of the Y2K generation, such as smart phones, tablets, and gaming consoles. Television accessibility was limited, and while many were fascinated by it, as many are today, Cheryl would always prefer being outdoors. In addition to sports, Cheryl loved walking in the woods and examining the different leaves. One fun activity she recalls from her childhood was taking her favorites leaves home, placing them under a sheet of white paper and then taking a crayon and coloring over the paper, which left a beautiful imprint of the leaves on the white paper. Cheryl was a single child which was very uncommon for her region, but always made friends easily. She was homeschooled up until college, but developed a strong group of friends at a bimonthly meet-up for other homeschoolers in the community. Due the flexibility of her schooling schedule, Cheryl and her family enjoyed going on little trips. She attended a small college close by so she was able to still enjoy these sorts of trips with her family on holiday breaks. In college, Cheryl Bratt majored in Nutrition. Staying active and eating healthy had become very important to her throughout her formative years, so she was eager to learn more on the subject. Over the years, Cheryl has kept up this interest, as well as traveling, and now has a website dedicated to each interest. The links to these can be found below. On the health website, Cheryl will post about health news that she finds particularly fascinating and interesting. Many of the posts will be about nutrition- others about general health. One of the things that fascinates Cheryl about the topic of health is that medicines and medical technology are constantly evolving-- helping people to live happier and fuller lives. The website about traveling will note some of her favorite spots around Utah and places she would eventually like to travel. CherylBratt.net Information Cheryl Bratt of Park City, Utah is passionate about nutrition and general advancements in the field of health. This interest of Cheryl’s started young as she was always very active outdoors. Cheryl played a number of sports

CherylBratt.net  Information  Cheryl Bratt of Park City, Utah is passionate about nutrition and general advancements in the field of health. and games with friends and family. Speaking to nutrition specifically, Cheryl was raised in a home where fruits and vegetables were served the appropriate amount of times a day and sweets were kept to a minimum. Occasionally when Cheryl was over at a friends house, she would be offered foods like fried chicken and chocolate cake- a reoccurring dish at one friend’s house, but after the first couple times, it was clear to Cheryl that healthy eating was the way to go. Sometimes Cheryl would bring vegetables from her family's garden to homeschool related social gatherings. Healthy eating not only helped Cheryl Bratt stay in shape as she grew older, but it also helped her feel better as well. Although Cheryl acquired many great tips for eating healthy through her parents and through some books she had read from the public library, she was eager to learn more. She decided to attend a small community college outside of Salt Lake City, where she grew up, and majored in Nutrition. She was able to learn the science behind the foods we eat and motivations for the reasons people eat what we eat and so forth. After leaving college, she went back home for several years to work as a personal nutritionist in the community. In 2005, Cheryl visited Park City for a week and when it was almost the time to leave, she made the decision to move there. Cheryl Bratt loved her time in Salt Lake City- she had grown up there as a child and went to college near there, but Park City gave her an indescribable joy. Thankfully, given the nature of her work, Cheryl was able to easily pick back up her job with ease in new city. She has joined a local health club and stays active by running and hitting the famous ski slopes. Cheryl currently has no plans to leave Park City, but is looking for more ways to stay active and heathy in the community. Her friends have recommended that she try yoga- particularly meditative yoga for when she is feeling stressed or overwhelmed. On this site Cheryl looks forward to sharing personal stories related to nutrition, recent health news in the media, and more.    CherylBratt.org  Information    Cheryl Bratt has resided in Utah all of her life, but one thing she loves to do is travel. Cheryl has always loved to travel. She vividly remembers going on trips as a child and throughout her teenage years with her family. Cheryl and her family never had to go anywhere too extravagant to have a great time and often traveled to cool sites within Utah and bordering States. One of Cheryl's favorite places to ever visit was the Grand Canyon in Arizona. Cheryl was absolutely astounded by its beauty! She recalls being moved to tears. Since Cheryl was homeschooled during her childhood, there was a lot of freedom in when her family could go on trips. Her mom would have

her complete learning activities in the car or on bus rides. One of Cheryl’s favorite things to do after a trip with her family was draw or paint a memory from the trip and have her parents try to guess which site or landmark it was a depiction of. They were typically very successful at guessing- Cheryl was always an impressive artist. Cheryl would then save all of these art pieces to flip through and reminisce with her friends and family in later years. Cheryl loves traveling because it allows her to see this beautiful world that we live in more closely. She feels that people stay so busy sometimes that it is easy to miss the special smaller joys in life. Cheryl is a strong believer in positivity and she believes taking little trips for herself helps center her when life gets crazy. Cheryl believes that every time we explore a new area, we are learning. Every time we return from exploring a new area, we are reflecting. As you will see on this site, Cheryl loves to imagine visiting conventionally desired places such as Paris or Rome, but she still finds great enjoyment from the simplicity of a nearby farm or park. Traveling anywhere, no matter how close or far, provides Cheryl with a lot of inspiration. Cheryl often makes friends wherever she travels and stays in touch with them primarily over e-mail. For friends she has met before “electronic mail” became popular, Cheryl still likes to hand write special letters, adorned with adorable little doodles. Overtime, this site will discuss some of the places that Cheryl has been, places Cheryl has always dreamt of going, traveling tips, and so forth. Please have a look around.
