06 - 084Synthesis and Diels-Alder Reactions of 4-Substituted-1,3-diphenoxy-2-(( tert-butyldimethylsilyl)oxy)-1,3-butadienes: Application to theSynthesis of Triaryl Ethers. — The preparation of the title dienessuch as (V) is described and the usefulness in the (4 + 2) cycloaddition toadducts such as (VII), (X) and (XII) and the transformation to trisubstitutedphenols such as ( VIII) is shown. It is noteworthy that the reaction of (Va) withmethyl propiolate does not give the expected silylated derivative of (VIII).
