1998 organo-phosphorus compounds, nonmetal heterocycles organo-phosphorus compounds, nonmetal heterocycles S 0087 40 - 190 Sulfur and Selenium Derivatives of 2-Phosphaindolizines. The new zwitterionic heterocyclic systems (II) are obtained by reaction of title indolizines (I) with hydrogen sulfide and sulfur. The reaction fails without hydrogen sulfide. The analogous diselenophosphinate (VIII) is prepared from (Ic) and the preparatively more convenient compound (Va), in the absence of an additional base. Phosphaindolizine (Ic) reacts with diselenides (V) giving the new diselenophosphinates (VII). This reaction is extended to phosphaindolizine derivative (X). — (BANSAL, R.
