A Pd(0)-catalyzed termolecular queuing process involving cyclization of aryl halides (I), (V), (VIII) and (X) onto proximate alkynes, allene insertion, transmetallation with indium and addition to the aldehydes (III) and (VI), re- spectively affords the heterocyclic dienes (IV), (IX) and (XI) and the carboxylic diene (VII).
