fluoroacetic Acid. — In connection with structure—activity studies concerning phos-photyrosine moieties, an effective debenzylation procedure is investigated. The method shown allows the selective deprotection of benzyl ethers in phenols bearing elec-tron-withdrawing substituents at the ortho-position and can be extended to other pro-tecting groups [cf.
