P is for PROM If you’ve ever been on the US 31 Bypass in Bowling Green, KY., you have probably no-ticed Michelle’s Consignment Boutique. Lo-cated behind Walgreens, and next to Balloon-a-gram, lies the only store in town that carries more than 2,000 styles of dresses for girls and women of all ages. Whether you are invited to a school prom, homecoming or shopping for your own wedding, you will most definitely find whatever you are looking for. “ We’ve got more dresses here in this store than any other store in Bowling Green..even full price retail,” owner of Michelle’s Consignment Boutique said. Not only is MIchelle’s unique in how many dresses they sell, but they supply to women of all sizes and shapes. “We sell new and used dresses and we cater to a lot of girls,” Michelle said. “The highest sizes we carry here in the store are a 32, and the smallest size goes all the way down to little girls.” If you ever get the chance to stop by this consignment boutique you will be more than pleased witht the customer service and versatil-ity in the store. Although Michelle’s Bowling Green store only caters to women in need of dresses, her Glasgow store specializes in famil clothing for all. “Prom, wedding and pageant dresses are sold here in Bowling Green but we’ve also got an en-tire store dedicated to family clothing,” she said. As a woman who loves to shop and spend my money wisely, Michelle’s is now oneof my go to spots.

While browsing in the store, high-schoolers from around the city were ea-gerly shopping for prom, less then 4 weeks away. This high-schooler found two dresses she loved and left the boutique with this purple dress from David’s Bridal which. Her total cost was $75.00. The city of Bowling Green has more than 10 con-signment stores located within close vacinity of one another. Each store specializes in something different.

Less than five minutes away, you will find another suttle yet surprisingly great find of a consignment shop. Beverly Hills Bargain Boutique has accessories, shoes, purses and clothing for not just women but men as well. Listed around the store you can find brands for the mature woman such as Ann Taylor, Ann Talor Loft, Talbots and Chico’s . For teens and college students, Abercrombie and Fitch, Hollister and Ralph Lauren are specifically catered more towards the youth. The owner of this boutique says that his store not only specializes in clothing but clothing that would be found in specialty stores. “Things that you would find in your specialty store or a department you will find in here,” he said. Since the early 90’s this store has served Bowling Green natives and those who come to visit. Some may know it by it’s previous name, Act 2 while the name Bevery Hills Bargain Boutique has only stood for five years. Consumers can look forward to seeing a variety of upscale clothing as well as casual wear.
