PRINCIPAL REPORT
PRESENTATION FOR 2019
Thank you to all of our Chatham Public School
staff for making our annual School Presentation
another successful event for 2019.
It was wonderful to see so many families join us in
rewarding our students in areas such as academ-
ia, sport, attendance and citizenship.
The performances were also a highlight, showing
the creativity and talent of many of our students.
Pictured below are students performing a musical
number with our ACMF Instructor Matt Zarb.
AN EXPLANATION OF
STUDENT SCHOOL REPORTS
A formal written report is issued twice per year;
once at the end of Term 2 and a second report at
the end of Term 4.
The formal reports include a comparison of the
child's achievement against curriculum syllabus
standards using a common grade scale; teacher's
comments about the child's academic perfor-
mance, and information about the child's social
and personal development.
Years 1 to 6 students have grades awarded for all
the Key Learning Areas (KLAs) they have studied
each semester. The following sets out the official
descriptors pertinent to each A to E grade that is
awarded for each KLA studied.

strategies:
* Make sure that the bubblers are turned off
when finished.
* Stop the drip! Turn off the tap!
* Recycle and reuse water- 5B are catching
water in buckets in our wet area and under the
Stage 3 drinking bubbler. This water is then
used to water the tomatoes which are produc-
ing lots of fruit!
* Spread the word- we have created water wise
posters which will remind everyone in our
school to save water in areas such as the toi-
lets and the school bubblers.
* Monitor Chatham Public School's water us-
age by checking the water meter readings each
day.
